Hey all - Well, after some pretty serious female issues, I'm back at work after a week off.  Not to be too graphic, but I had the "never ending friend," which has now left me anemic and completely exhausted.  I'm under the care of a very good gyn/surgeon, who is going to perform a uterine ablation wtihin the next two weeks.  It took about a week for the meds they gave me to kick in and slow things down, but not before I became anemic.  I'm taking some special iron supplements, along with the increased hormones, so hopefully, things won't worsen again before I have the procedure!!!  ICK!!  Work's been great, not that they had a choice, but they're a great bunch of men.  Yeah, it was a little embarrassing trying to "tell" them what was wrong without giving too much detail!!  LOL!! Cira sent me some pics of Gia, I'm sure she's gonna post some as soon as she has a free second.  Like in 5 years!!  The baby's gorgeous, and I swear, in the pics immediately after the birth, Cira's wearing lipstick!!!!!  And glowing!!  I haven't talked to her yet, haven't wanted to intrude, but I'll call her this week and update everyone. Kaity participated in the Baltimore County 24 Math Challenge on Saturday.  For the uninformed, "24" is a math game where you have to use numbers on a deck of cards to equal 24 - the goal being the fastest and the one with the right answer!!  Anyway, it's too much for this loser, but K is really good at it.  She didn't win any medals on Saturday, but she was recognized for good sportsmanship and said she had a really good time, which is all that matters.  She also won a savings bond for making it to the County level.  I'm so proud of her, and it's also very clear that I am NOT smarter than my 6th grader!!!!!  LOL!! Okay, so fill me in, what's new with everyone?? Tia

Hey sweetie Only have time to say a quick good morning.   Sorry you have been having those 'issues'.   Been there done that and believe me October 25, 1999 was one of the happiest days of my life when the big H occurred and there were no more issues. We are headed to OC for St Paddy's day parade and a long weekend away on Friday.   Lefty is going to to Kitty Sleepaway Camp so you know he will come home one very spoiled putty cat because he gets so much love and attention there.   I have my 4 year appointment with Dr Mike on Monday in Salisbury on the way home from OC.   I wonder if I can lose 20 pounds this week ???   I really should have planned better and not left it all for the last week .   I am determined to get back on track and lose at least what I have gained back.  I feel like I am back in that same spot that I was when I was 300 pounds .. that I just CAN'T lose and I know that is not the case, but I've gotten lazy with my food choices. Got to run here.    Talk to you soon. Hugs & smoochies, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Moie - Yeah, I'll be glad when it's all over.   St. Paddy's Day weekend in OC sounds like sooooo much fun!!!  If you like crab legs and other things on a bufett, the Clarion Hotel has a great buffet, and they give wls a reduced price.  You might wanna call first or when you get there, ask them right up front.  Heather and I went there during a weekend in OC and it was sooooooooo good!! Hope Lefty enjoys his stay at camp!!!  Don't forget his t-shirt from OC!!! Tia

Hey Tia, Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope you feel better soon. Congrats to Kaity. That's wonderful. I would hate to be put to the test after all these years. I know it would not be pretty. lol I bet Gia is a little sweetheart. I can't wait to see pics of her. The whole family must be in heaven. As for me, the morning sickness has started to rear it's ugly head. It is all worth it for what you get in the end. And we found out we are having twins! Sooooo, exciting. Good luck to all the newbies and continued success to everyone else. Wana

Wanda - First of all - CONGRATULATIONS!!!  TWINS!!!!  OMG!!!!!  That is soooooooooo awesome.  I hope everything goes smoothly for all of you.  You have my undying admiration!!!!!  I had read earlier about your pregnancy and should've posted sooner, but I'm so happy for you!!! Yes, my Kaity is too smart for any of the adults in her life!!  She thrives on being the best, which will stand her in good stead when it comes time for college.  I've already told her that she can do whatever she wants, and she waffles between being a doctor, a teacher or an interior designer.  Her brother, Brian, is equally smart, but could actually care less about anything that isn't connected to a video game!!!   Gia is GORGEOUS!!!!  Talk about having your hands full - Cira sure does!! I'm sorry you're experiencing morning sickness - I hope it ends soon!!! Keep us posted! Take care, Tia
