Dr. Greene or Dr. Singh

I am just starting my journey...and wanted to get opinions of LapBand docs in MD..I live in Frederick County and work in Rockville...but would travel to the Columbia area...I am set to go to the Dr. Greene info seminar on April 3, but I want to make sure he is the doc for me...

I am sorry that I don't know anything abouit Dr. Singh, however My Dr. is Dr. Greene, he is fantastic, proffessional, passionate and honest. You will find him quite to the point. Ellie

Thank you!!  Have you already been through your procedure?  Was it a long process from start to actual surgery date?

I haven't had surgery yet, i am waiting for the insurance response rather anxously now. Dr Averbach is my Dr and he is with Dr Singh.They are awesome. Sorry I can't say anymore now I am falling asleep while I type.I am beyond exhausted but very grateful to be able to do the things I do now. I also ad RNY so I don't know about lap band. Dr. Singh is my doctor.  I can't saying anything but good things about him and his staff. I would suggest that you attend seminars with both doctors to see who you "connect" with.  And believe me, you will KNOW which one is for you. Good luck. Deb

Thank you!  Does Dr. Singh only do his surgeries at St. Agnes?  Is that where the seminar is held?

As far as I know, Dr. Singh does his surgeries at St. Agnes. And I think the seminars are held there too.  I had started my journey with another surgeon so did not go to the seminar with Dr. Singh. I think you would like him.  He's a very kind and compassionate man. Good luck Deb

I would recommend Dr Singh for anyone. There are so many great things i can say about him and his office i dont know where to start. After you go attend  his senimar you will see he has a great sense of humor, willing to answer any question you might have, He puts out all the pros and cons for every surgery.Good luck on your choice. You will hear many good things about both surgeons, but your heart will lead you where you want to be. 

I met with a total of 3 docs - Singh was the last.  He is furthest from my house I might add.  I knew the 2nd I met him he was the one for me.... From my first appt to my surgery was 2 months - but I had all my ducks in a row at my appt. E
