This stuff is so nasty tasting.  I picked up the tropical flavor.  Should have known it was going to be hard to get past the taste.  Mixed it with water the first time.  Blended it in the blender today with a bit of water and crushed pineapple.  Made it tollerable.  Sucks I spent about $32 for a big jug, which was only about 2/3 full, and it tastes nasty.  Its got a great protein value and will suck it up and drink it but looking for any suggestions from you guys to make it tollerable.  Was tempted to get sherbet from the store and throw a small scoop in with it but wasn't sure if it was allowed yet.  Will definately be going back to the ready made ATKINS or the E.A.S. Myoplex that I tried before the surgery.  Would not recommend the NECTAR product to anyone though.....blahhhhhhhhhhhh

Hey there I have one suggestion. Just mixing it  with water and putting it in the freezer always worked for me.  I had the cherry flavor which was more tolerable and just diluting it with more water. After surgery our taste buds are very sensitive and they change a lot.  I hated protein drinks after having my surgery that I really like before surgery. Good luck with everything.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I actually like the Nectar...but only certain flavors.   I too like the cherry.   The peach is not bad either...But some of them were just tough to get through.    If you are bored one day you can look back through the posts here.   There is an on-line store that will send you small sampler size baggies of the protein powders.   I would pass it along, but I have forgotten it.    As for your question.   The way I use the cherry or peach powder is to mix it with fresh fruit and tropical punch crystal lite.    One thing I will mention about the Whey based protein powders.   Don't run them through the blender unless there is no other way to do it.   They tend to foam up when you add too much air. In this case, I mix the powder with the crystal lite and use a small wire wisk to stir it, or shake it in a shaker cup until mixed.   Then I put ice and fruit and a little water in my magic bullet and blend it into oblivion.  Once it is done, I mix the two together and stir or shake.    The less you work the powder (but still get it to dissolve) the better. Even with the EAS chocolate powder...the most I do to it is shake it.   Once you put the protein in the blender...it gets so foamy I can't drink it.    And for some strange reason...it never seems to un-foam.   It is not like carbonation.   Even when you poke it with your finger the bubbles just move...they don't burst.   Odd. Oh well...try a couple of flavors of the Nectar.   I did not like the tropical, or the strawberry bannana.  But here is the cool thing.   If you get a container and don't like the flavor...contact the company (Syntrax).   For the cost of shipping (one way) you can send it back and they will send you the flavor of your choice.   I did this with the ice tea.   I really did not like it...so I sent them an e-mail.   They sent me an address and instructions.  In two weeks, I had a new container of Cherry.    I am going to pick up a new container of the cherry this week, if you would like, I can send you a small sample of it.   Just let me know. Enjoy...

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
