inches & inches oh MY! (copy from blog)
It has been a great week- So I wanted to share this with all of you.
WOW, so I had my 3 month measurements taken. I am continually amazed by the transformation my body is going through. I WOULD HIGHLY recommend anyone going through this surgery, to most definately keep track of your inches as well as you weight. Why? Honestly, although I know I am changing and I see the scale going down, looking in the mirror, it is hard to see the actual changes myself. I have a hard time seeing what everyone else is seeing. So to have these amazing numbers- and know that it really is happening, makes all the tough food moments worth it even more.
So here they are:
Before surgery :
Weight: 273 Neck: 15 1/2 Chest: 53 Arm: 14 Waist: 47 Hips: 55 1/4 Thighs: 25 1/2 Calf: 17
One month:
Weight: 250 Neck: 15 Chest: 50 Arm: 13 3/4 Waist: 44 1/2 Hips: 55 Thighs: 24 1/2 Calf: 16 Weight loss: 23 lb Inches lost: 8.5
Two months:
Weight: 233 Neck: 15 1/4 Chest: 47 1/4 Arm: 13 1/2 Waist: 42 5/8
Hips: 51 1/2 Thighs: 20 1/4 Calf: 15 7/8
Weight loss: 40 lb Inches lost: 21
Three months:
Weight: 218 Neck: 14 1/8 Chest: 45 Arm: 12 1/4 Waist: 43 Hips: 46 7/8 Thighs: 20 7/8 Calf: 15 1/8 Weight loss: 55 lb Inches lost: 30!
I am so excited! .
While I am listing the cosmetics, let me also list the most important part- the health benefits...
1. No longer taking metformin
2. No longer have reflux
3. No longer having heart palpataions
4. No longer snoring and having problems sleeping
5. Can walk and not have to stop to breathe
6. My periods have returned (if you count that as a benefit ) Still not regular but here
7. I am no longer dealing with constant rashes and skin irritation on my thighs and under my breasts.
8. I can cross my legs comfortable and sit like a lady.
What an amazing 3 months!

Nicole, Thank you. I still struggle - alot, everyday I have to face my food addiction, and everyday "I" have to make the decision to not eat more than I should. I actually put a quote on my cabinet that says YOU ARE AT A CROSSROAD, THE DIRECTION YOU GO IS UP TO YOU. So everytime I go in my kitchen, I read that, and decide to succeed or not.
Keep your chin up, you CAN do this.
Dianne
Congratulations!! You are doing wonderful. This journey is amazing especially when you get to see it on paper because you are right it does takes us longer to see what everyone else is seeing.
Big hugs girl I am very proud of you.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
