Well, that was putting it bluntly!  LOL Let's see, what's happening with me.  Went to the hepatologist yesterday in Baltimore to see what's going on with my liver.  More blood work and he scheduled me for an espholgial scope in two weeks.  From that point we will see where my WLS journey is going.  I feel better in that I don't have the hepatitis that the biopsy report said that I did!  I guess they had to base the diagnosis on what they saw at that moment.  I did have a hep panel done and it was negative....thank God for that. Had a good day yesterday, actually lost a pound....guess driving burns calories too!  NEXT..............

Hey Heather I've been busy this week and not much time for the board or posting but I didn't want you to be un-answered here. Hang in there with the supervised thing.   Part of the supervised diet is not so much to lose the weight (though some doctors do feel that you should be losing pre-op) but more to develop a healthier outlook toward your post op eating and getting you on that road. Do the best you can and if you slip today, just pick it up again tomorrow. You might want to start working some protein supplements into your food plan.   I really didn't have long between my consult and surgery (about 7 weeks), but I started on the protein pre-op and I think it really played a huge part in my recovery and how quickly I bounced back. Hope to see you at the GB meeting on Tuesday evening! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
