This sounds to me like sciatica. I would tell your surgeon however.

I agree with Aime on the sciatica.  I had it pre-op, and of course, like everything else, I was told to lose weight.  "Ten to 15 pounds should help," the doctor said.  After losing 55 pounds, it was still there, but after I had surgery and lost a lot quickly, I woke up one day thinking, "Wow!  My leg doesn't hurt anymore!!" But yes, talk to your doctor.  And don't let them tell you to lose weight, you are and will be continuing to do so, but no one should have to suffer with pain. Tia

It can also be a bloodclot or vitamin B1/Thiamin deficiency I had numbness and was immediately checked for both, I suggest you call your Doc to be safe. Stephanie

I would call the doctor about that, it sounds like it could be a clot. Hugs Kristen

I have sciatic issue and this does not sound like sciatic. The sciatic runs down the back of your thigh and there isn't any burning sensation. I would call your surgeon because you coukd be having a vitamin deficiency problem.    Keep us posted on your condition.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I had numbness in my right thigh for months after my surgery. My surgeon said it is not uncommon. About the time I thought it would never go away, I suddenly realized it was gone but it was at least 5 months out. Lisa
