Thanks for your prayers

This is my first time on line since my "surgery".  Thanks Tracy for posting about what happened. I am back in Hebron now and have had a few problems since returning.  When I got home on Sunday, of course hubby "needed" to go to Walmart.  So, we are getting ready and I notice that one of my incisions is bleeding...not a lot but it is blood.  I called Dr. Singh's nurse (thanks Cathy) and she returned my call.  I told her what was happening and she said to put some gauze over the steristrips.  If the blood continued, to go to the ER.  We went to Walmart and while I was shopping, I noticed some red stains on my white shirt.  "Oh geez!  What leaked on my shirt?" Ooppsss, I realized, I leaked and that the red was blood.  I had picked up some gauze pads so I riped those suckers open and pulled up my shirt.  Yep... there was blood...gushing out of one of the incisions! Hurry and find hubby (ladies you know that is a major task in it's self!) Finally had him paged and told him we needed to get to the ER.  Nothing makes him move any faster than a snail...not even the site of my bloody shirt.  Called my doctor and he called back...go to the ER.  Okay, off I go.  Scared the nurses to death. Didn't help that I told them that I had been stabbed by a man but that everything was okay because he had an "MD" after his name!  (Little humor seemed appropriate!) Wisked me off to one of the cubicles and some PA comes in.  I show him where I'm bleeding from and he starts to take off the steri-strips. He hesitated and asked if I wanted to do it.  I told him, "No, you can do it but remember that my knee still works. (as he was stradling my leg!).  He says, "Oh, it's a bruise that's bleeding." (Gee, could it possibily be the two in*****ision that was laying wide open?) Anyway, he put more strips on (without cleaning the wound!) and said I should be okay.  Well, it's still bleeding! I am still waiting on the results of the liver biopsy.  I saw pictures of the liver and it was very ugly.  We'll have to take it one step at a time.  Dr. Singh hasn't given up on me yet and I haven't given up on me yet.  I'm ready to fight whatever this nasty thing is in my liver!  How dare it interfere with my new life!    I will keep everyone posted and again, thanks for your prayers. Hi there - I hadn't read the earlier post until today about your surgery.  I had pm'd you last night to see how everything went.  I'm really sorry to hear that things didn't go as planned.  I hope everything comes back o.k. with your liver biopsy.  I'll keep you in my prayers!    Kelly
