It happened...

Not sure if it was a dump or something got stuck, but Oh my what a bad day.  We were at WhiteMarsh and my girls wanted lunch. So they begged to go to Buffalo wild wings. I though ehhhh , but the relly wanted to try it.  I ate 1- just 1 wing. About 10 minutes later I was vomitting. Thought I was ok, but NOT. We then went to Sears. They were clothes shopping. ( I did tell you they were girls!) And all the sudden I had to GO. I mean I didn't think I was going to make it to the bathroom. Well there I was going and throwing up at the same time. Then I was hot, dizzy and my stomach felt like there was something stabbing me. Man I have never felt that way before and hope to never feel it again. I had to call my husband to come get us. By the time I got home I had vomitted about 3 more times, and was now just constantly heaving. I took a warm bath and laid down. I feel better now, but my Lord. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER eat chicken wings again.  EVER!!

{{{{Dee}}}} so sorry! I'm glad that you feel better now. I haven't had all those symptoms together, and hope I never do. Sounds like what people describe as dumping to me. Wonder if they put sugar in the wing marinade??
Hugs!

Oh my go**** sounds like it was frightening.  I have a friend who is 2 mos post sugery and he vomits whenever he tries to eat chicken of any kind, except pureed.  Kathy T is right, buffalo wing sauce usually is high in sugar as well.  I hope you feel better and it never happens again.  I was reading on Eggface's web blog that using a crock pot for cooking meats helps keep them moist and soft enough to slide down and prevent the vomiting.  I also read that if you have an incident like that it helps to go on liquids the next day. Have you heard this?  Hugs,

Thanks Jennifer. I love her blog! I have used my crockpot a lot since surgery. I can assure you I will not try  a wing again. Chicken fills me quickly, but I have never reacted to it before.

What in the world made you react that way from the chicken wings. OMG. I hope you are feeling better. How awful. Hugs.

Thanks Jo,     I feel 100% today. I really think it was the fat. Not 100% sure, and not even thinking of tempting anything to fiqure it out. ;)

I bet there was sugar in the wing sauce. That first full fledged dump is an eye opener. Hope you feel better.
