I got banded yesterday at 7:30am. I was home by noon. Everything went pretty smooth. Yesterday I pretty much slept all day. Today I feel like crap. My port are is killing me. Hurts to stand and sit. Tis OK though, it will all get better in time. Like any other surgery. I am happy to report that in the hospital I weighed in at 340.7 before surgery. That is 37 pounds down since I started protein shakes on January 12!!! I went up to 347 after all the fluids that were pumped into me at the hospital, but this morning I was back to 340.3!! I can't believe I actually had Weight Loss Surgery. It is all so surreal to me. I never imagined it. Now, I just can't wait to be an "after". Bring it on!!

You'll start feeling better in a couple of days.  Meanwhile, keep the heating pad handy for gas pains and keep walking and sipping.  Take it easy!   Congratulations! Edie

Hi Mellie, Congrats on your successful surgery and best wishes for a very speedy recovery. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Congratz and welcome to the losers bench Mel! Now you have a journey ahead of you. Just take everything slow and one day at a time and most important: DO WHAT DR. GREENE SAYS!! LOL He will know if you haven't been following his regimen, trust me. LOL But anyways, get lots of rest and keep sipping on fluids!

This will be the only time that I will be referred to as a loser.......
