Fill er up!
I had my first fill this morning. The good news is, it didn't hurt when she hit the right place. Yep, there was a little pop and it felt a little funky going it, but no pain. The bad news is, she missed the first time. That really spooked me. She left the room to see another patient after that to give me a chance to collect myself (I shrieked!), then she came back and had me stand up. It turns out that my port really is right under my bra line, about a half-inch from where the underwire hits. I got 4 cc's in a 10-cc VG band. She normally puts in 6, but I still have a little restriction. Liquids is us for a couple of days. I already feel a little tighter in there.
Wow Edie!! I am so proud of you. You have lost so much without getting a fill? You are doing great and I am very proud of you.
Best wishes with your continued success in this journey.
hugs,
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

My skinny self still wears a 22, but I hope I can meet you soon, too. You, OTOH, rock in your size XL's. I'm still in a 2x, but at least the 3x's are falling off my shoulders now.
Madeline has noticed, though. She was disappointed when I wasn't already thin when she visited me in the hospital. I told her I'd probably be skinny at some point when she was in the first or second grade and she was really bummed out. One of her classmate's mothers just got insurance approval for a lap band with Dr. Schweitzer, so there'll be two of us now.
My husband has REALLY noticed. He's started talking about resort vacations where I'd live in a swimming suit, bless his heart.

My son tells me I'm still big too - gee, thanks! But he's sweet. When he and husband came to pick me up from the hospital he told me that he's "glad I'll be as beautiful on the outside as I am on the inside" - how sweet is that?!?
I just need to deliver now!
Peace
