Yep, Sara and Ashli are both gone.  I saw Genean last time, but will be seeing someone else in a couple of weeks.

Ashli had a baby.  It was her second, and when I met with her last summer, she was on the fence about whether or not she was coming back.  I have no clue about Sara.

well i was told by the lady i saw yesterday suze, that the lady coming has written her own bariatric cookbook so she hopefully will be good for us. i just wonder why they both left at the same time. just seems weird.

Actuauly, i thought Ashli is working a little bit while they wait for new person.... Now that she has 2 kids i think it's more cost effective to stay home. The cost of day care is horrific when they are that little. She has to work around her hubbie's schedule though.... I have no idea who i'm meeting with on the 18th... (hopefully the nut knows more than the last fill-in i got about DS patients)

daniel patrick If you are looking for a GREAT cookbook, Dan has a bypass cookbook out.  Check out his page and he sells them at the Glen Burnie Support meeting.  This book is packed with great stuff and is only $10.  check into it, I am sure he will ship one as well. Hugs Kristen

Yep, I ran in to the nut shortage yesterday.  It was my hope that after my first surgeon's consultation yesterday that I'd be able to obtain a nut appointment and my psych appointment in the next two weeks.   At the end of this month, I'll be out of the country on my honeymoon, and I was hoping to have the paperwork submitted to my insurance company during our three-week trip.  That way, I could come back to good news - my approval, or be refreshed from my honeymoon to take on an appeal process. As it is, my first available apointment with a nut is not until the second week of April, which means that paperwork won't even go to the insurance company until possibly the middle of April.  No telling how long it will take insurance to get their response back to us with their decision   I'm sad. I really wanted to jump quickly in to this journey.  I've been thinking about it for over five years, but just now committed to doing this surgery.
