Questions - A Little Help, Please
I posted this last night on the Main Forum:
Stupid question #1: From what point do you calculate your 100 pound marks? From your highest weight or your day of surgery weight?
Stupid question #2: I know this has been asked and answered many times, but what online food journal do you like best? And which one will let you count Fat, Sugars, and Protein?
Not so stupid question #3: Lately I'm finding that I'm eating more, picking as I cook, and I'm feeling hungry. Maybe I'm eating too many carbs and it's revving my appetite. I don't want to mess this up! I have been doing really well until the last few weeks. I need to get back on the straight and narrow. I guess I'm look for suggestions, encouragement, whatever.
Thanks everyone,

April, I don't use an online journal, so I don't know which one would be best to record all of that. I used to use FitDay, but at that time it didn't do anything but fat and calories.
As far as when to track weight loss, I track from the weight I was when I saw my surgeon the first time. I believe that is also my highest weight. I did lose 15 pounds prior to morning of surgery, and I count those on my ticker.
I also find myself hungry a lot. I've eaten more carbs the past 2 weeks, and my weight loss has slowed down. I'm doing it because I've been nauseas almost non-stop, and saltine crackers helps with that. The nut did tell me to eat more protein, and eat the protein first, and I would get fuller faster, and for longer. You are doing great! This phase is all about learning. Be patient with yourself. In a few months, I'm counting on being a pro at what to eat, and when.
Hugs!

Kathy,
I sure hope the nausea stops soon. Still, you are doing great! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your input. My highest weight was in Jan. 2007 when I first started my documented weight loss with my PCP. So I'm going to count from there.
I'll try to be patient. You're right, I'm still learning.

I count from the day of surgery. I was supposed to lose weight before surgery, but I didn't - I gained.
I don't use an online journal.
I find that I eat more in the 4 days before my cycle starts. And there are days when I am hungrier than others. I don't think it's abnormal. Are you still losing - weight or inches? Let that be your barometer.

I actually lost 37 pounds from Jan to Aug 2007. Then I gained back 9 in the week just before surgery. I'm counting from that first pound lost.
I'm bouncing around the same weight for the last 3 weeks. I need to do measurements again. Maybe the tape will be more telling.
Thanks for your input. Keep up the good work!
