Very, very OT -- Toyota mechanic
A certain car dealership that shall remain nameless just called Kevin with an estimate on repairing his car, which is a Toyota. Apparently, the compressor clutch has gone on his A/C. The A/C is not terribly important right now, and he can fake his way around the defroster problem. The dealer wanted $1500!!!!! We can't do that right now without putting it on plastic, and we are trying hard to be a cash-n-carry household. Additionally, we all know that car dealerships charge waaaay too much. We just had a repair done at Firestone that we paid $138 for; the dealer quote was $500. Firestone, however, can't do anything other than routine A/C work. So...... does anyone know of a good, reasonable and reputable Toyota mechanic? I live in Millersville, which is sort of where I-97, Rt. 32 and Rt. 3 come together. We'd be willing to drive a little ways for someone good, e.g., basically anywhere in AA County, possibly into Baltimore City or Howard County. After all, Toyotas don't break often. Edie
