Last week I tried on a zip-up pair of slacks that I was saving (waiting to lose a few pounds so I could get in them). I waited too long! The fell off. So, then I tried some new slacks that I had bought before surgery and was too lazy to hem. They ballooned out like clown pants. As a last resort, last Saturday, I finally broke down and went to Wal-Mart to buy a few pairs of inexpensive pants. You can't see it, but I'm jumping up and down for joy! I actually pulled on a pair of 18/20 knit pants. I have not had a size 20 on my butt for over 30 years (since I first moved to Maryland). I was in tears when I came out of the dressing room and told my husband. Did I tell you that I'm so happy?!

Thanks April. Some days I cannot even believe I have lost so much weight. I often still feel like the same fat person I ever was. I know my clothes are smaller and that I weigh significantly less but it is still so hard to believe that I am not the fattest person in the room.

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!

April, Congradualtions! I didn't recognize youyr Avatar at first untiul I noticed your famous signature and then I had a double take. Believe me ,this amazing month of January this has happened to me a lot looking at MD memebers avatars and initially not recognizing them for their rapid wieght loss. Ellie
