Hi there, I've only posted a few times but have to say I do read what is up with you'll. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced what is going on with me: Here's the deal, I was banded October 16th. Had my first fill in December. Results: nada, notheing zilch, no restriction what's so ever.  Had my 2nd fill alittle over a week ago. I have restriction which is good. Here is what's up though, I am finding it very hard to find things that I can eat that go down. Now let me say, I am not getting sick, it just has difficulty getting down.  How do you know if your band is too full? I have to say that I am extremely reluctant to say anything to the Dr b/c I have had little to none weight loss. Is this something my body gets used to and things ease up?Is this normal? The other reason for my hesitation is, I truly thought 3 months after surgery maybe I would be down 20ish pounds or something. When I say nothing has moved, I am not exaggerating. My Nut told me that I am probably the smallest person they have done the surgery on. I'm 4"11 and 207 pounds. I realize that there are folks out there that would love that weight, but for me, it is soo not healthy and I feel sooo defeated. When I decided on the surgery, I thought, okay this will be exactly what I need, help to not overeat like I used to. I sooo feel like I made the wrong decision. It's like a bad joke, who gets WLS and doesn't lose anything? ME. What the heck are the odds.  I apologize for venting and really I would love some feedback from you more experienced follks. Thank you for listening..... ~Kim

Hi Kim! Sorry, I have NO experience with the LapBand. But, I was thinking that could it be that you are not eating small enough bites, or not chewing thoroughlly? As a bypass patient, I still struggle with that. I've made myself sick a few times not chewing enough. Also as far as weight loss... what are you eating? Eating less isn't necessarily the key to weight loss. That depends on metabolism. I am insulin resistant. I went on Weigh****chers for 6 months and lost less than 15 pounds. I went on Atkins for 6 months and lost 65 pounds. Believe me, when I was on Atkins I ate A LOT. But, very few carbs, and the weight melts off of me. Just thinking "out loud". I'm sure you will find the answers you are looking for. I wish you success on your journey. I hope we'll see more posts from you!
Hugs!

Hi Kim!  Sorry to hear that you are so unhappy.  Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the Lap Band or fills.  But, there are many on the MD forum who are banded.  Hopefully someone will chime in.   I would suggest talking to you doc (I know you're hesitant).  Also, have you tried the Lap Band Forum?  The folks over there might have some specifics questions/ideas/suggestions for you. Big hugs and best of luck to you!

Ladies, I have been looking for my post so that I could say THANK YOU ! I did exactly as you all suggested and put my post on the lapband site and gots just the right amount of feedback I needed. It has made the world of difference.  Thanks for reaching out when it could have been really easy to just skip over me.  I appreciate it sooo much.  I am sooo grateful. I know it probably seems so simply to you'll but I had tunnel vision.....    ~Kim
