DVR

Good Morning All, Does anyone know if DVR is still at GBMC and if not who will be taking over our care. I am really upset about losing him . When is the next meeting are they even having one , guess his wife will leave with him??? I feel like I have had the wind knocked out of me I am losing DVR and my PCC at the same time becasue of insurance problems. Bobbie

Hi Bobbie, I really don't have any answers for you other than what I have seen posted.   I believe that DVR is moving to St. Agnes.   I would think that you could move with him or move your post op care to Dr Moe at GBMC. Best wishes as your wls journey continues. Hugs, Mo

Bobbie, At my last appt. on 1/2/08 he said he was leaving the end of February. I asked him if anyone is taking his place and he said he did not know. He almost sounded a little like something might have gone wrong there and they were maybe not communicating. I would think if things were on good terms he would know if he was being replaced or not. I may follow him to St Agnes. It is out of the way for me but I figure I will not be going for follow up visits for very long. I am much closer to GBMC though and that is where I would go if I had to go to the ER for something so...I don't know, I am torn.

HI Gail, I am like you I am a lot closer to GBMC if I ever needed to go to the ER room but I feel I started this walk down the Yellow Brick Road with DVR and I have a lot of trust in him. It is just a real pain in the PO-PO to change to  a different practice. I think something really must have happened for him to leave a pratice which he started. He is still doing TV adds for GBMC  they must have been taped a while back. I still think he is a great doctor and glad I choose him.. I am 1 year out and I figure how many more visits do I have anyway, think they will cut me lose for 6 months now. Bobbie

hi Bobbie, I received a letter in Saturday's mail and it is telling us that if we want to follow DVR we have to sign an authorization letter to have our records transfered and when you cann St. Agnes hosptial you can leave a message with the bariatric program coordiator and she will tell you what you need to do to schedule your appoitment with DVR.  he will be with GBM****il feb 28th and will see his patients that follow him after March 15th at St. Agnes. I left a message and I waiting for a call back from St. Agnes. Yes I am sure his wife will follow but I am not sure on that. By the way Dr. Moein will continue to see whomever that does not wish to follow DVR to St. Agnes.
