When did the pounds stop melting off for you and when did the hard work start? I am looking for some encouragement, I am not usually the one to look but I am in need.  I have gained 3 pounds after working out at the gym with muscle two weeks ago.  That was not a good idea.  Since then I have lost the 3 pounds but nothing else.  My thyroid has gone nuts agian.  I have notice I can eat more and I am not happy about this.  I am going to start back at the gym with just cardio.  Today I am proud that I walked for 60mins and did 3 miles but I don't want to eat anything.  This is nuts!  Hugs Kristen

Hello Beautiful !!  Hard work .. it started for me day one . I had researched this surgery for so long , I began the work right away . When I say hard work , I mean making my goals for protein , water and exercise .  I had lost 100 pounds at my 6 month mark .. and by month 15 , I had reached my surgeons goal weight . I am now 125 pounds , Post Op Plastic Surgery .. and still work hard daily to  maintain .  I refuse to go back .  Kristen , If you are having Thyroid problems , please get to your Endo . I am Adrenal Issuficient , and know that my weightloss plays a great part in how I feel due to this condition .   You should be very proud of your accomplishments !!  Take care .. !!  Natalie

Natalie Thank you I needed that.  I have talk to my Endo they have changed my thryroid dose three time since surgery and I am still getting to much.  I am sure that is why I am lossing so much hair as well.  I am doing all the right things at this point, I just need some people that are on the same page to tell me I am, Thank you, you have made my day. Hugs Kristen

Hi Kristen, I am on synthroid and since surgery they have had to play with the dose as well.  I am in a stuck phase, as I like to call it as well.  Whatever you do, make sure you eat!  The weight seemed to melt easily without a lot of effort from me during the 1st 6 months, now I feel I need to watch more closely. Just keep doing what you are doing, remember it is a life style change and Rome wasn't built in a day.  The lbs will start coming off again!!!  If you don't eat you body will hang on every calorie and think you are in starvation mode, so eating is important, just stick to the protein!!! Thanks Jen I have gone back to mostly protein again and hope it will help.  All in All things will be fine, I have just hit a bump and Dr. G says I am going to lose tons more and not to worry. Hugs Kristen

I'd say we're on the same time table - although I do have that 4 hour head start on you.   Actually, I've been hovering a bit lately as well.  I'm pretty sure it's just our bodies adjusting, as long as we stick with the program we should start melting again pretty soon. Just make sure you aren't sneaking in any hidden calories and limit the bad carbs. Good luck with the thyroid - it took about 9 months of adjusting the dose for the Drs to finally get Kathy's synthroid dosage correct. BTW - just bought my first single XL shirt since high school, that was way cool. Take care, Ted
