I feel in my heart that I wanna conitnue to have it here due to the long process!
Thanks for all the posts. I really dont wanna go thru all the hoops bein that I'm so close. Me an my ex had talk, an that she will still support me if I want to have my surgery dwn here an then when I heal I can go back to Baltimore(my hometown that I miss so much). I was there all last month, which wasnt a good trip but I try to make the best of it. So I'm still deciding but I feel in my heart I wanna go ahead an fini**** here. I have to meet wit another psy an then a half day class so in between that I should get a date. thats how close I am. My friend said that he will still come dwn an support. Got a lot of thinking to do but will keep ya posted on wat I plan to do. I really would like to meet all of you when I get home, I see that ya be having lunches an many other thing I will like to attend. So everyone take care an I will post again sooon!
Keep posting here and Keep in touch. Let us know how things are progressing and when you get surgery and how you are .When you get back to Balto. come and check out some of the support groups and activities that everyone does. You will need to find a Dr here when you get back anyway since we don't stop with them. Maybe your Dr there can help or you can set something up after you have surgery before you come home. Good luck.

Welcome to the MD boards!
I hope that you will follow your heart, and do whatever it is you think is best for yourself, and for the rest of your new life. I hope that you and your ex are friends enough that you will get the support that you need when you are newly post-op. That has been the most important time to date, for me. A move to MD would require you to re-qualify for medical benefits, correct? You wouldn't need to re-qualify for surgery, since your doctors office notes would be sent to whichever surgeon you choose in MD. I'm sure any of the great surgeons here in MD would be happy to assume your post-op care.
Good luck on whatever decision you make. I hope you'll keep in touch with the boards before your move to MD, whenever that is.
Hugs!
Kathy
