Three Months Tomorrow

I've purged the house of the Christmas junk food -- we bandsters do not dump, so junk is still a temptation -- and am losing again.  Tomorrow will be 3 months, and I'm down almost 38 lbs. from surgery day.

I'm walking out of my old pants, which were a combination of expensive 24's and Lane Bryant 28's.  The day after Christmas, I hit the sale at Lane Bryant and allowed myself one new outfit, which I am wearing in the picture.  I bought 24 pants and a 22/24 sweater.  At the time, the pants were right on the edge of being too tight, but I bought them anyway.  It took a couple of weeks for me to get around to hemming the pants, and now the waist is loose on me.  I'll have to wear a belt with them next time!  It's a good thing I didn't yield to the temptation to buy more than one outfit.

It's really funny how people who see you regularly don't notice how much weight you're losing when you wear the same old clothes, even if those clothes are obviously big and baggy.  I got so many compliments at work today!  People I hardly know were stopping me in the hall and the restroom asking what I was doing to lose all that weight.

Hi Edie!    You are looking wonderful!!! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Edie, That is amazing, thisis a holiday that I see more people shrinking than people gaining weight like the holidays before and it makes me happy. I guess pretty soon, you gotta say bye bye to Lane Bryant! Congradualtions and WTG Ellie
