GLEN BURNIE support group

Thanks Kristen. I hope it is a go. I am excited to attend!

The 15th is my "Date" so I guess i'd have to say I'll be out of commission, maybe next time. 

I can't do Thursdays because my daughter has ballet.  Tuesday might be a possibility for me. Edie

Sounds like a great idea, I would definitely be interested.  The 17th is a much better date for me, please include me in this group, I'd love to do something with people in my community.  I've been looking for people in the area besides myself and my mother who have had the surgery.

I know that you have all been waiting....and the answer is YES!!!  I have a location for us to meet...... We will be meeting Tuesday, January 15th at 6:00....at North County High School.  NCHS is off of B&A Blvd.  It is about a mile off of the Ferndale exit (Glen Burnie) on 695.  Take the exit....veer to the right...onto B&A BLVD...at the second light (first is Furnace Branch...second is First Ave)...take this left...and up the street is NCHS.  The high school is about two miles from Ritchie Highway...  Take B&A Blvd from Ritchie Highway/Crain Highway heading towards Ferndale..  Follow B&A Blvd past about 8 lights...and again..turn ontl First Ave.  (There are signs). 

This was my tentative agenda.....BUT suggestions are welcome:  

1.  We each bring a very light (diet) conscience pass around dish... munchie or beverage type of item (I have all the paper products already....)

2.  We would have a little ice-breaker...get to know one another activity...

3.  We could each bring on a slip of paper a topic we would like to discuss with one another (topics could include: favorite grocery store for products, different product suggestions, transisition ideas, beating cravings, etc.....)

4.  We could put all the in a hat...and pull them out to discuss them.....

You missed this meeting (bummer!!!), but he have another one scheduled for February 5th...details to follow...
