I know I will tell have to tell them eventually. I have mentioned to most that I've lost a lot of weight and work hard at keeping it off and most are impressed with that. Meeting good guys??? HAHA I think you just have to put yourself out there and look at every place as an oppurtunity. I agree with what you said about losing the weight and meeting the guys because I know I'm much much more confident now and that helps with meeting people. I've meet people at clubs, bars, work but the person I'm seeing now I actually met online and we met about a little over a year ago but started talking seriously back in September and we finally met in November, it was magic from the beginning but I'm still catious. Good luck to you as well!!

Hi Jen,
I was morbidly obese most of my life and never dated much. One year ago (and 18 mos after having LAP RNY), I met a wonderful guy who treats me like a queen. I too always thought that it was about the weight. I had some close to me tell me it wasn't the weight but the thing on my shoulders. After losing weight, I found I was more confident/brave when it came to "putting myself out there".
Don't lose hope. I chose to focus on other good things in my life (like an upcoming LBL that I had last spring and other things) and that's when I met my prince charming :-)

Hi Jen,
Read the reply I just posted to Karen. I just wanted you to know that there is a way to overcome those fears.
I am here for you if need to talk.
Hugs,
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
