I'm not offended - Kathy and I are just speaking our minds.  It's what makes the world go round.  kelled44, I live and work in Towson.  I go around that g-d forsaken beltway to St. Agnes for appts. support groups, etc.  It's a pain but I do it since there was something about Dr. Singh that I liked on our first meeting....

as one of DVR's post op patients First ofall I want to say that yes he is a gifted surgeon. Second I want to to let everyone here know that when I had my six month post op visit yesterday I asked the question that has truly bothered me the most . Can I still attend the support group meetings at GBMC.  I was assured that I could attend either one  regardless of which practice I choose to use. I love the people I have met thru the group so I know one thing--- I will continue to attend the one at GBMC -- as to which Dr.  That is my big question. I have been seen by Dr. Mo once and at the time he seemed very caring and fit me into the office without an appointment ( my drain decided a day early it needed to come out LOL)  I was not forced to sit and wait until they could fit me in-- it was Come right over and when I did I was in his office within 10 minutes of my arrival. I have met several of his patients who have nothing but good things to say about him. Again I have great respect for DVR's skills as a surgeon but I don't get the warm fuzzie feeling if you know what I mean. I love Kathy , Sloane and Barbara.  I don't want to  lose the rapport I have developed with them. This is rambling I know but I am doing a pro and con thing in my head as I type this. Another thing that bothers me is I chose the practice based on location. I wanted to be near home .  God forbid I have any complications do I really want to travel to St Agnes when all my records are here at GBMC. Yes I guess I have made my decision.  As much as I appreciate everything DVR has done I will become a patient of Dr Mo's at Gbmc.  All my other Dr's I had to see prior to WLS are at gbmc.  I would not want to have to see all new Dr's at St Agnes should anything go wrong. Thanks for giving me a place to rant , rave and vent. To those who choose to go with DVR I understand and you do have a great Dr. I am in no way trying to sway people one way or the other.  These opinions  are mine and we are all entitled to our own opinions. To the preop patients I well understand the frustration: I know for a fact this has been going on since October:  to tell people now who are getting ready for insurance approval is down right wrong.

WOW im really out of the loop. Dr. Von Reuden is my Dr this is the first i heard he is leaving. does anyone know when? I have a follow up appt. in Feb. anyway St Agnes is like 5min away from where i live and i have family who work there but to go there as a patient( which i have many times I had no choice) given the choice i wouldn't. Too many horror stories. I have seen Dr. m on occasions when Dr. von was in surg and i really liked him. He seemed very compassionate and made sure i understood him before i left(because i was having problems). So in short they are both great Drs. I would trust my life with both and have he he! Good luck in your decision
