DVR... St Agnes?
as one of DVR's post op patients First ofall I want to say that yes he is a gifted surgeon. Second I want to to let everyone here know that when I had my six month post op visit yesterday I asked the question that has truly bothered me the most . Can I still attend the support group meetings at GBMC. I was assured that I could attend either one regardless of which practice I choose to use. I love the people I have met thru the group so I know one thing--- I will continue to attend the one at GBMC -- as to which Dr. That is my big question. I have been seen by Dr. Mo once and at the time he seemed very caring and fit me into the office without an appointment ( my drain decided a day early it needed to come out LOL) I was not forced to sit and wait until they could fit me in-- it was Come right over and when I did I was in his office within 10 minutes of my arrival. I have met several of his patients who have nothing but good things to say about him. Again I have great respect for DVR's skills as a surgeon but I don't get the warm fuzzie feeling if you know what I mean. I love Kathy , Sloane and Barbara. I don't want to lose the rapport I have developed with them. This is rambling I know but I am doing a pro and con thing in my head as I type this. Another thing that bothers me is I chose the practice based on location. I wanted to be near home . God forbid I have any complications do I really want to travel to St Agnes when all my records are here at GBMC. Yes I guess I have made my decision. As much as I appreciate everything DVR has done I will become a patient of Dr Mo's at Gbmc. All my other Dr's I had to see prior to WLS are at gbmc. I would not want to have to see all new Dr's at St Agnes should anything go wrong. Thanks for giving me a place to rant , rave and vent. To those who choose to go with DVR I understand and you do have a great Dr. I am in no way trying to sway people one way or the other. These opinions are mine and we are all entitled to our own opinions. To the preop patients I well understand the frustration: I know for a fact this has been going on since October: to tell people now who are getting ready for insurance approval is down right wrong.
