Just wondering what kinds of cereal people are eating? I really miss having a bowl of cereal for breakfast or at any time. I know we can't eat sugary cereals but I'm tired of corn flakes, lol. Thanks.

Yup I don't eat more than 1/2 cup at a time with some milk.   I do great since 2 months post op.  If you read the sugar content it is not high.

I like the special K protein plus. It is 10 grams of protein in 3/4 cup. I have yet to finish off that much at a time though. :0)

I found a cereal in Giant that is made with pumpkin seeds. It is pretty good. I don't eat it as a ceral per se as I was never a big cereal eater. I add it to my protein shakes or yogurt for some crunch. I found it in the health food section of the store.

I've never been a big cereal eater but I do keep Kashi something crunch in the house and also the Kashi cereal that is like mini wheat with cinnamon.    I'll eat both of those dry like snack food.   I mix the crunchy one with some nuts and raisins or crasins and make trail mix snack to carry with me. Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Lots of people are mentioning kashi. just keep in mind the protein source is soy so if you are soy intolerant, you will not do well with that type of cereal. I learned that the hard way. Good luck!!! oh and i would suggest shredded wheat. great fiber content.
