Deductible Issue

I have a high deductible that is due Jan 4,08. If I don't pay the 2000.00. I can't have my surgery on Jan 16.  has anyone run into money issue.  I don't know.  What to do.

I didn't bring it to the office on the due date, so they told me just to bring it to the hospital.  I forgot my money order the morning of surgery because I wasn't supposed to bring my purse.  They are billing me for it.  They didn't refuse my surgery!  I could have gone home to get it, but they didn't balk at billing me for it.  So, if you happened to have only $1000 because you made the check out for the wrong amount, or you forgot to bring it, I don't see them turning you away.

Perhaps GBMC Comp has turned the corner a bit because they were quite RIGID in their request for my co-insurance money prior to surgery.  Not sure if they actually would have refused to perfom it or not, but I didn't want to take that chance.

I have a 2000 deductible too, so I signed up for flex at my job. So when its time for me to make payment I wont have any issues. I was told at St Agnes if your deductible isnt paid a week before surgey it will be cancelled. Does your job offer flexible spending? 

I called the office and no one has called back.  I can't enroll into flex account b/c it to late to enroll.  I think I will reschedule my surgery.
