Maybe Not Quite a WOW Moment but Still Awesome

It was such a beautiful day yesterday that I took the afternoon off so I could go home and take a nice long walk.  I even incorporated a little jogging into my walk. Anyway, one of the neighborhood women jogged past me and did a double take on me.  I know this woman from being around the neighborhood and because she was always in the gym at 0500 every day when my wife and I were going a couple years ago (I'm pretty sure she still goes).  She said she almost didn't recognize me and we chatted for a minute or two.  As she jogged away, she turned around, pointed at me and said three words that will stick in my mind for a long time to come...  She said, "You look hot!" and was gone.  OMG, what a huge ego-builder that was!!!!  It was an ego-EXPLOSION!!  Especially, coming from such an incredibly attractive (and fit) woman!!  --- I'm not naive and am sure she was just being nice (REALLY nice) but I'm still on cloud nine!

Eric, I would say this constitutes a WOW moment.  When was the last time you had a woman compliment you?   I mean really compliment you?  Family members don't count.  LOL! I'll tell you, the hardest adjustment for me has been getting second looks from men.  I still think there must be something on my face, or lint on my jacket, backside, etc.  It is weird.  After years of living "unnoticed" getting noticed is an odd feeling.  It's one thing to get compliments from your family.  My husband recently told me I was "too hot" to be married to him.  HAH!  But when complete strangers who probably wouldn't give you the time of day 10 months ago start, it just doesn't seem right. I am still waiting for my head to catch up to my body as far as the weight loss goes.  In my head I often feel like the fattest person in the room, even when I'm not.  Funny thing is when I was the fattest, I very rarely felt this way.  I have been told that this is normal.  I guess it takes your head time to catch on to the fact that you have lost the weight of an adult person. Let me just say, WAY TO GO ERIC!!  KEEP IT UP! Kim

It is a strange feeling and I completely agree with you regarding having your head catch up to your body.   BTW, I noticed you don't have any pics showing so maybe hubby is trying to keep you all to himself!   --Eric

After a year out, I still feel like I am fat. It is so hard for me to believe when people tell me I am skinny. I know I am far from skinny. I am getting there I guess.
