Dr. Mo and DVR diet question
Well, I knew I would have plenty of questions... My binder from Sloan said that I can switch to full liquids after 48 hours being home. That would mean Sunday or Monday. The Discharge instructions from the doctor today said one week of clear liquids. Right now, I am completely ready to never eat again. But, I think I'm a little hungry, lol. Did anyone switch over to full liquids less than a week after surgery?
Hugs!

Hi Kathy,
Welcome home you loser you!!!
Yes I was on clear liquids for an entire week. I would go by the discharge papers. SF popsicles, clear broth, caffeine free hot tea, water, SF clear drinks, like the ones from walmart or crystal lite and clear protein drinks. You can always call the dr on call too they were great with me whenever I was concerned abotu something.
Hugs,
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hey Kathy!
I was on for a little more than a week. Dr. Mo took my drain out 10 days after surgery. I was instructed to stay on clear liquids until my drain was out. Hope this helps! Call the office Monday just to check.

I will do that. I'm hoping that my drain comes out on Thursday at my appt. It's already starting to heal and itch a little bit. One of the smaller bandages came off already, so I put a band-aid on top of it. I've been known to heal quickly, which can't be a bad thing.
I figured I would follow the Dr. instructions like you all said. It's not like I'm hungry, lol. I will point out to them what the binder says though. That could get confusing, and I'd hate to see anyone get sick because of it.
Hugs!

You're right about their being inconsistencies between the binder and Dr. Mo. From a conversation that he and I had when my drain came out, I got the impression that he was hoping to overhaul/redo the binder in the near future because of some things that he didn't agree with. (my interpretation of the conversation).
