? for patients of Dr Mo & DVR
Hi Sandi,
My papers were submitted the very next day after my last appointment. Then it took another towo days to hear that I was approved on a Friday and got my date on a monday or Tuesday I believe. It was quick. Back then the office ran smoothly and I am praying it is as easy for you. What insurance company do you have?
Have a wonderful day and wishing you all the best!
I would call the insurance carrier to see if they say they received the paperwork ask for the date it was submitted.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hi Sandi,
I think that the early part of this year was a big adjustment period for the office and I'm hoping that they are turning things around. My paperwork was submitted a week after my last appt with Dr. Mo. I called my insurance comp (BCBS Federal) one week later and they said that I was approved. GBMC Comp called me 5 days later. So, about 3 weeks for me. Good luck!

Hi Sandi! Congrats on finishing up your required visits! I know that feels so good.
I spoke with Rose the day after my last appointment to make sure she had all of the paperwork needed. She said that she did, and she was going to submit the following day. Somehow or another (I believe it was the insurance company) they didn't receive it. I had started calling the insurance company 2 days after she said she was submitting it. They use fax machines, so it should be received within a day of being submitted. I gave it a week, and after they still didn't have it, I called Rose back. Then, I called my insurance company daily waiting for the approval. My luck to be assigned to an overworked nurse, with a very part time schedule.
If for any reason you don't hear within 2 weeks, you might want to see if your HR department will get involved. I went to my HR department and found that we have a dedicated rep for our account at Aetna. Once I spoke with her, I had approval within a few hours.
I wish you speed in this process! Once I was approved, I was scheduled 41 days out with Dr. Moein. That time has FLOWN by!!
Hugs!
Kathy

Thanks Kathy,
I did speak to Rose today and she said she faxed everything in last Tuesday, but when I called the insurance company with the case # Rose gave me, they said she only called and never followed up with the fax, so then I had to call her back which of course p***ed her off. So now I have to start being the bad guy and making the check up phone calls everyday. I feel bad for Rose cause she's the only experienced one in there.
And best of luck on your surgery tomorrow. Praying you will have a speedy and uneventful recovery!
