I have a new ticker check this out.  I am doing good.  I saw Dr. Gandsas last week and he is really happy.  I am still taking all my meds for my esophagus and will more a couple more months it looks like but that is still all working well.  I had roast tonight for this first time in the crock pot and it went really well.  I did try 1tbsp of pasta last week and that is still not for me and I am ok with that.  Work has been really busy.  Me and my two other sisters are doing the Sinai Seminar for 1/7/08 about our weight loss surgery's and I will post more info later about that .  So about not being around so much but it looks like everyone is doing a great job.  I will get some new pictures up soon as well.  Dr. Gandsas walk right by me this past week and did not realize it was me.  THAT WAS A WOW MOMENT!  Miss Everyone! Hugs Kristen

Wooo hooo Kristen!! Congratulations you are doing so great! When your dr doesn't even recognize you it is amazing. Awesome weight loss! Keep it up! I am so happy for you! Best wishes!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I still can't eat pasta. Fills me up too fast and leaves me feeling a little yucky. My crockpot is my friend. I can make some good meals in it that are nice and tender.

Hi Kristen, I'm coming up on 4 years out and I STILL don't/can't really do pasta.   I can have a taste, but it's really not for me.   If I have any pasta at all, it's more in something like lasagna rather than pasta with a sauce. Sounds like you are doing great! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Thanks for the update Kristin. Sounds like you are doing so great, and it's such an inspiration. How is Aimee doing? I'm not worried about pasta. Everyone I know who has had surgery and is at or near goal said they can't do pasta, so I am not holding out any hope.
Hugs!
