Mr Mo looked out the front window this morning and immediately yelled for me to look at his blazer parked in the driveway ...  this is what I saw  http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/561638415wegycG We have seen any number of 'strange' things in our yard .. but this was the first wild turkey sighting .. and to have one perched on the roof rack on the blazer was too funny. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Wow!   That is definitely a sight for me to see since I am truly a city girl and I have never been used to seeing any wildlife out there except squirrels, birds and pigeons.  So when i moved down here and saw deer and possums and otters and stuff I was like WOW I am in the country for real. lol Thanks for sharing!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

LOL well I lived in Queens all my life although I was born in the Bronx but nothing like that was ever found over there. Were they really wild turkeys? I wouldn't have any idea which is which?  I wonder if they broke free from a farm like a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving saying they were not going to be caught on anyone's dinner table!!  LOL  Can you imagine that??  LOL hugs,

Being a country girl- wild turkeys are common in Western Maryland. We had them around all the time. I am sure that you were quite shocked when you looked out your window.

LOL! All you NYC girls should have gotten out to northwest NJ, the wild turkeys there are almost as common as the deer. I saw a lot from a distance, but never one right on top of the car. They are not attractive birds, wow.
Hugs!

When my sister in CT was married to her ex, their house backed up to the Audubon (sp?) Preserve and there were deer and wild turkeys that roamed the neighborhood.   I guess because these two are 'my' turkeys they are slightly more attractive than the ones I would see in CT. Mr Mo was particularly NOT amused by the turkey turd left behind on his roof tho. Hugs, Mo
