I am HOME!!!

I just wanted everyone to know that I am home. I have to say, I feel wonderful. I little sore but nothing that is even requiring medicine. Everything went well. In the recovery room, I had some wheezing and low oxygen, so I had to use oxygen the first day. Other than that everything was EASY SAILING!!!  I read a few people that said they were curious if DR. Roe had done anything other than give them an incision, I have to tell you I giggled at that because it is exactly how I feel. GBMC was good, day staff was better than nights, but overall I was pleasantly relieved and well taken care of. It was a great experience, and I am so very glad that I did this for me. I look forward to healing and shrinking now.  THank you all so much for you well wishes and prayers.  Oh and I have to say that I was surprised to be hungry after surgery, I wasn't expecting that. But that first "meal" cured that. I ate that a little too fast yesterday. (Misty I think that is when you called)  SO I have already learned lesson #1- drink SLOWLY!!!

Glad you're home!!!!!  Misty was great about updating us - you have such invaluable support in her!  Take your time with things - rest, walk, sip (don't gulp) and allow yourself to heal.  I walked every day at Eastpoint Mall - I found it was easier, for some reason, to walk there than at White Marsh.   Just do what you're supposed to, and everything will fall into place, and the pounds will fall off!!! Let me know if you need anything! Tia

Welcome home!   Continued best wishes for a speedy recovery!   Walk walk walk and sip sip sip. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
