Update
Hi everyone, it's been quite awhile since I've been on. My job location has changed temporarily and I don't have as much access to the internet. But I just wanted to share what has been happening.
I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea after my sleep study and am now using the CPAP. I also found out through my yearly eye exam and many tests that I have a condition called pseudotumor cerebri which is excess fluid around the brain causing excess pressure and swelling of the optic nerve. Anyway this is found mostly in women of child-bearing age who are overweight and have sever sleep apnea. So just another thing to add to my co-morbidities.
But on a better note, I had my last of my six month visits on Tuesday, so now everything goes to insurance for approval. Tuesday Dr Mo asked me when I wanted the surgery and I told him asap. Well the nurse said they are scheduling right now for Dec 19th. So depending on how long my ins co takes, I could be having this before Christmas! I can't believe how fast the last six months have gone, but now the time will drag waiting for the ins approval.
I will try to get on here more often and keep you all updated.
Hey Sandi,
Best wishes for a speedy insurance approval and quick surgery date!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
So glad that your going to be given a chance to "turn the tides" on the co-morbidities!! Loved it when I was able to start deleting some from my list as I got healthier. Keep us updated and congrats on ending the 6 months.

Hi Sandi,
I am so glad to hear from you. Congratulations on completing your 6 month. I am sorry about the new diagnosis. Hopefully with the surgery that will disappear.
Wishing you a speedy insurance approval. Please let us know as soon as you hear something.
Big hugs,
