Am I approved???

I think I'm approved...   I couldn't wait any longer and just had to call my insurance company.  They have had my file for 2 weeks today!   So I call, and the lady who was hard to understand due to a really crappy headset she was wearing said that I am "Pre-cert" and they sent my doctors office that letter.  They are now waiting on my "Clinical info to proceeed"    Since she was hard to hear, and it took two times for her to say the above for me to understand it, I said thank you, and ended the call. So of course I called my doctors office and told them what they said.  She told me that their surgery coordinator will take care of it.    I just blurted out... Is this a good thing?  Does it mean i'm approved???  She said yes...  But I want to heatr them say it simply... "Your surgery is approved"   So until they say it,i'm still in disbelief....   Any thoughts or opinions or experiences out there????   Thanks peeps!  I'm still nail biting here!  

Kelly That is wonderful.  Wait till you get the letter in the mail and have to read it over and over and over cause you can't believe it is finally here.  That is GREAT!   Hugs Kristen

I'm in a dream, and I need pinched to wake up!   But i'm still praying every night....  This is some major intense stress!

Sounds like a surgery date is coming any day now.

Kelly, first, CONGRATS! Second, you'll most likely get a letter from your insurance company explaining what they approved. I got two letters, one approving the surgery and one approving the hospital stay. I guess with Aetna, they are two seperate processes, so two approvals. I also got a call from the nurse at the docs office letting me know, and I saved the message as long as I could on my phone, it was so awesome to hear.
