Have you been stomaphyxed?
Hi, Im new to the board so Im searching for info. on anyone in the Maryland area who has had a stomaphyx.
I am scheduled to have my EDG done next week. I have been seeing Dr. M. Scheitzer in Baltimore. I am considering having this procedure with him but I would like to find out if anyone has seen him before and what is your opinion. I have read alot of positive and negative things about this procudure. I just want to know is it working 2-3mos. post op.
Any info will help.
There are quite a few of us who had our weight loss surgery with Dr. Schweitzer. He and his staff are fantastic with an outstanding track record and excellent outcomes. He did the DS wls on me and others and has also done lapband and RNY on members of this board with great success. However I can't remember anyone one this board talking about the procedure you mention. Sorry I can't help you with that but wish you the best of luck.
I was under the impression that Stomaphyx is a procedure for revisions for patients who have previously had RNY and had regained some of their weight. It is a non-invasive procedure that has been peformed at Mercy Hospital in Long Island.

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
