I have been approved

Amy,    First off- CONGRATS on your APPROVAL!!!!!  As faras you DH goes- take everyone's advice. Talk as much as you can. Have him go to a meeting with you as well as see the DR.  My husband was a bit hesitant at first, mainly he was afraid I would die. I  told him that it is a real concern, and that I share in that concern. BUT I also know that without this surgery I am walking a fine line of dying at a young age anyway. My mom was 50 and my dad 52. I am 33. And developing all those issues. After I explained all the reasons why I want  this surgery. He is my biggest cheerleader now. HE has even started buying my protein and other things. THIS IS HUGE, cause my dh just doesn't shop for anything.  Best wishes for a quick date- I know that was harder for me than waiting on the issurance approval.

Thank you Dee, I think he just doesnt really realize how overweight I am. He said you are doing this for 20 lbs, bless him but uh no 100 lbs. He is scared I will loose too much, I will loose my hair, or even die. I did discuss with him that I want to start having kids within a year and I cant be a good mom being 100 lbs overweight! But, I will take you advice and talk, talk, talk!!! Hopfully I will get a date soon! Amy

At 367 pounds my husband was more afraid of me dying from all the impending issues associated with being SSMO. Have your husband read the part on Dr. S's website where wls saves lives. I will pray for him to have courage so that you can have a long healthy happy life together.
