I'M NOT LOSING ENOUGH WEIGHT!
Hey gang !can someone offer some suggestions. I'm 4 months out as of the 29th. I'm down 73lbs. however, i feel like my weight loss has fallen off. that's a little soon considering i want to lose another 139lbs. To add insult to injury, my scale shows that my bmi is increasing! What gives? i work out 5 days per week and am eating pretty good( iron a little low and vitamin d a little low) not getting as much protein as i should though
Hi Sherry,
Not much actual advice, as I'm a week behind you (surgically), other than to say, don'****ch the scale too much. I feel like I've been able to increase my protein and I think that it has helped in my loss. Have you talked to Dr. Moein?

i drink about 10 glasses of water per day
i eat some carbs ( define a lot)
i eat 3 times a day plus a midmorning snack
i don't know exactly home many grams i get a day. probably somewhere between 40-50grams.
i eat grilled chicken, low fat turkey lunch meat, read beans, bean soup, fish from time to time also protein bars or shakes
Ok well it sounds like you are good on your water intake, when I saw a lot of carbs I mean do you eat them with every meal? Is it possible for you to up your protein becuase with you exercising 5 days a week you want to get in a lot of protein . The more you work out, the more protein you need. be careful with the lunch meat see if they have it in low sodium becuase lunch meat is full of salt which can cause you to retain water. You are doing well though, you have lost 73 pounds in four months and thatis excellent. I know its scary early out when the scale does not move, but beleive me it will move again, you have probably just hit a plauteau where your body has to catch up with the weight loss.
Let me just say that 73 pounds is incredible!!
It's possible you're hitting a plateau. I hit one, possibly two, already myself and I'm only 3 months out. I have to tell you, though, that my plateau didn't last very long. Only about 3 days. Stick with your workout & diet and I'm sure you'll be back in the losing mode again very soon.
