DR's office got INS approval!
So the DR's office got approval. I knew Monday or Tuesday, But had to wait for them. SO they called to sched. surgery and they wanted to do the 6th of Nov. EEK so soon. I am hoping to do this right after Christmas because of my work schedule. Plus my In-laws would be off to watch the kids and such. So they should call me back tomorrow to let me know if that works or not. If not then I will be doing it sooner. I am soooo nervous and excited!!!

You will do great and I want to mention that you have (in my opinion) one of the best surgeons ever! I didn't have him but he talked to me many years ago when I first considered WLS and I later referred my mother to him. He'll know my mother well, she was about 60 when she came to him, had severe medical conditions due to a long life of obesity and everyone else turned her down as a candidate for WLS. Dr. Roe reluctantly agreed to try to help her and I truly beleive that if he had turned her down too, she would not be with us today. He didn't just perform a surgery, he saved her life. He's an excellent man and you are lucky to have him.
Best of luck to you and your new journey!

122 pounds lost forever
Congrats Dee! I hope they can work the date out around your family needs. I have a co-worker who was operated on by Dr. Roe who successfully lost 100% of her excess weight, and 4 years post-op is maintaining it beautifully. Her daughter had surgery with him 2 years ago and is doing great as well. You will be in great hands.
Hugs!

Dee,
Congradulations, most people inclukding myself would prefer to have the surgery sooner than later, so it will be p[erfect for you to plan and get ready and have it at the tiem you want, my issue is that my insurance will change from Jan and I am not done with the 6 months pre-op diet, but on the other hand if I leave it to after Jan, I might not even be able to use my surgeon with new insurance. Enough about my situation, just wanted to congradualte you.
