I am feeling yucky!

It started with a little tickle in my throat and quickly became a cough with a fever. I stayed home from work Tuesday. I was just plain sick. I attempted work today. I ended up leaving after lunch. After much urging from my co-workers, I made an appointment with my PCP. I have a serious sinus infection and bronchitis. I can't sleep. I wish the doctor would have given me something to knck me out.  The good news is I haven't seen my PCP since May. he is extremely pleased with my weight loss. he told me if I didn't lose anymore weight he would be happy. He also said he barely recognized me. I have been seeing this doctor for so long he has 2 charts on me. I consider that a wow!

So sorry you aren't feeling well Aime!  Big hugs, and cyber warm chicken soup are headed your way. I know bronchitis is no joke.  Hopefully your doctor gave you some kind of inhaler. When I had it last winter, my inhaler saved my life, I think. My meds worked fast, and I did feel better rather quickly, and I hope you have the same experience. Congrats on the weight loss. I'm sure it's a great feeling when your doctor is happy with your progress. A wonderful testimonial to your hard work.
Hugs!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Aime, Feeling yucky is the pits!!!   Hope you get some rest and the infection and bronchitis move on out quickly and you are feeling better soon. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Can you take Mucinex?  It always works for me to move the stuff out!   The pills aren't that big either.  I think it comes in both regular and extended release.

So sorry you're not feeling well.  Sinus infections are the worst!  Coupled with Bronchitis...that must really be the pits!  I agree with Edie, Mucinex is wonderful.  I use the one that also has the added cough suppressant, Mucinex DM.  With my last sinus infection, I learned that most over-the-counter decongestants no longer have "the good stuff" (a.k.a. psuphedrine) in them.  Even Sudafed doesn't have it.  In order for me to get real relief, I had to go to the pharmacy counter, give them my ID and get some Claritin-D.   That, combined with the Mucinex, did wonders to relieve the sinus pressure and the coughing. Hope you're able to get some rest and that you're on the mend really soon! Hugs, Elaine

OMG, Aimee, it is as if I was posting tihs last Thursday adding severe sneezing to that! My coworker and her manager made me leave work earlier and the next morning I went to PCP gave me Zithromax (Zpac), I finished it on Tuesday.  I feel much better now, I wish you the same, where did this come from I don't knwo! We barely have started fall weather yesterday. What made me survive was hot tea, lukewarm water and hot chicken broth! Ellie
