Happy to be HOME!!!

Hi everyone,

I had my open RNY on the 15th and came home last night. The RNY surgery went great, it was the gall bladder removal that gave me trouble. A few days after my surgery I had severe pain in my right side under my breast bone and in my right shoulder. After several tests it was determined that I had a collection of fluid around my liver. The fluid ended up being a leak from a bile duct that connected my gall bladder and liver. They put a drain in and now I have this big ugly bag with a tube hanging off of me. They think it will heal on it's own, so I need to keep the drain for another week. Anyway I am so happy to be home now. I missed my 9 month old baby and 11 year old boy sooo much. My husband has been wonderful, I'm the luckiest person a live.

Thanks for listening

 Becca

Becca WELCOME HOME!  get some rest and sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk.  I will be praying that it is all up hill from here.  Those drains are no fun but it gets all the fluid out that is not needed. Hugs Kristen

Welcome Home Becca, I am glad that issue right away and took care of it before you left to go home.    I am glad you are back home with the kids and the wonderful hubby.   Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
