STUCK FOOD

Well, today, I had my first experience with stuck food.  O!!!!!!M!!!!!!!!G!!!!!!!! I was in such pain that I had to leave work early. Thankfully, my hubby works the same place I do and he could drive. I made some egg salad. It was like pureed. I felt I was too full when I finished eating. It was 1 egg. About an hour later I was still full and very uncomfortable so I took a drink of crystal light. Then, I felt alot more pain so I left work. When I got home I vomited and then felt immediate relief.  Won't do that again. I am not sure if it was the egg itself or maybe too much. I'm certainly glad that I knew about this from you guys or I would have been in the er with what I thought was a heart attack.

So sorry to hear that Gail.  During my first "episode", I also learned the hard way and sipped some liquid thinking it would help.  Bad move.  The good thing: once you vomit, instant relief.

Oh yeah that is some hell.  I have done that once but could not vomit.  I had to wait and it was scrambled egg.  I am not doing eggs for awhile.

Sounds like our pouch didn't like the egg or the mayo it was mmied with. I dumped on tuna once early on. Glad you were able to remove it so you could feel better.

I didn't get along well with eggs or egg salad.  Even though the eggs are very soft and sort of pureed, you still need to chew them very well.  Might need to wait another week or two before trying eggs again. Yeah, drinking & eating together is not a good idea.  I am glad you are feeling better.

I'm really sympathizing with you this moment.  I'm sitting here at work after eating a piece of toast with peanut butter and it is totally stuck!  I'm so glad that I read the advice offered in this post.  Otherwise I would have just tried to wa**** on through!   Hope you're feeling better now! Elaine....you poor thing! I hope you can get through the pain. Don't take that drink. I did not get relief until I vomited...not that I am suggesting that. I am not sure how long the pain lingers.

Gail: Sorry you went thru that but we all do at some point.  Eggs are not my friend now.   As too how long the pain last:  I was here at work one day:  tried to eat an egg for breakfast and did not feel better till I managed to throw it up five hours later,  AARRRGGGHHH
