That sounds like fun! Oregon Ridge is another place one can hike if that is an option you may want to consider. It has less severe trails. Which ever is good for me.

I this post and saw on your profile page that you are looking to hike places with hills.  It also seems that you do not mind to travel to get ther.   If you ever have the change to go to Harper's Ferry, WVa, there is a great trail - the Maryland Height's Trail.   It has a great overlook where Maryland, Virginia and West Viriginia meet and the Shennandoah and the Potamac Rivers converge.   Great Place. Also not too far from the Charles Town Casino.  I am always up for a good hike. http://www.nps.gov/archive/hafe/maps/maryland.htm

I think my husband and I would like to go as well. I don't live too far from there so for me it isn't that much of a hike. I do get very nervous meeting new people though, which is why I haven't been to the Carroll County Support Group meetings in my area so this would help me possibly meet some of you folks that go to that meeting. I must say I haven't really done much hiking so if you would bear with me I think it would be a lot of fun.  Carol
