An encouraging update
First, thanks to anyone who has stuck with me and all of the support and encouragement I've gotten this week.
I have gotten updated by Rose at DVR/Dr. Mo's office. She spoke with the nurse on my case at Aetna and found out she was only missing two minor documents. Rose was able to find and fax one right away, and I sent the other to her via fax, and she forwarded that to Aetna as well. So, she has confirmed with the right person that we are all set. I should hear something by early next week.
I sincerely thanked Rose for her help, and her follow up. She was most understanding, and I felt very encouraged by our conversation.
I hope they are able to find her some help soon. I think the lack of experience in the front office there just adds to her already huge workload.
I hope to have a final update on this subject with a surgery date in the next few days.
I'm relieved, and excited about my prospects once again, and life is good.

Hey Kathy,
That is great news., Best wishes on a quick and speedy response from Aetna!

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Kathy,
Good for you. I tihnk all the WLS surgeons in the aread have sort of become overwhelmed by the huge turn around and even though they are trying hard to cope with it, the lack of staff is still so obvious. I have left numerous messages for threee past days as well as emailed two different nurses and still haven't gotten any response back. I still will wait until next week and then I will contact them,
