One Month Update

Well everyone it has been a while since I posted. Reason being is that I have had a challenging and rough month. Some of you know that I have ahd a hard time getting my liquids down. Well I have had this lingering feeling of slight nausea and dizziness the whole time. I was put back in the hospital to get rehydrated and received a shot of B-Complex and after that I felt good for a while. Then it returned over the weekend. LOL I started soft foods (eggs and cheese, fish etc. *and chicken (EARLY) lol * and that is going down very well. Today I seen Dr. Greene and he says besides all of the setbacks I have been feeleing I am doing great. My starting weight was 297 before surgery. Lost 10 pounds during the 2 week liquid diet pre-op and today I weigh or shall I say I am HOVERING between 259 and 264 (depending on what scale I am on)  So I have lost a lot of weight even though I don't think I have. He told me that I may get to 160 then bounce back to 190 within 5 years or something like that. And I'm like, WOW! That will kick ass!! LOL So today I start taking my monthly B12 shots, calcium, iron, biotin and of course continue my Dynacirc and Prevacid. Thank the Lord those Lovenox injections are done! Now I have to look forward to getting poked ONCE a month now!! hehe I do admit I have not drank any protein shakes for a week. It may be bad, but I do believe I am replacing that with all the fish and chicken I am eating throughout the day. Well that's it for my first monthly roll call. The loser bench rocks and I am officially the lightest member of my family!! Penny don't like that at all, lol She says hello to everyone also. Take care and you can now applaud me or something....lol Later!!

Hi Mike,   Sounds like you're doing great.  I've been taking the B12 tablets, but I'm considering taking the injection after hearing good things from other folks. I am going to scold you about your protein though.  *lol*  Please try to keep track.  It's possible, but it doesn't seem likely that you are eating enough protein, so you probably need a shake or some powder.  Take care!

I am beginning to hate the protein drinks! LOL I just grew out of them. I am in the process of finding a replacement though
