Hey Tia,

I'm home!!!  We were there at 7 a.m,, and my procedure was scheduled for 8 a.m.   The doc said it went well ... I really don't know about that since I was asleep The effect of the anethesia has about worn off and I think I might need a lortab soon and my bed.   Busy pushing fluids to flush the fragments too.

Thanks for checking on me.

Hugs & smoochies, Mo

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... I am back to work, though I took a 'pill' about 9 a.m. to take the 'edge' off the day.   I am a bit uncomfortable, but I think it's just the stone breaking up and passing.   I'm not in major amounts of pain though.   I might nap a little during lunch (they turn the lights off in the conference room so there's no glare on the TV for Young & the Restless .. I'm trying to keep hydrated to help everything move along ok.  I have to find a space to do my 'exercise' to get my kidney above my shoulder .. or maybe it's my butt above my shoulers so that the fragments don't lodge in my lower kidney. Thanks for checking up on me. Hugs, Mo

Hi Mo, Glad to hear it went well. Have you done the 24 hour urine thing yet? Mine came back with low citrate and low fluid level. So, they gave me citrate pills and told me to drink like crazy.  Hopefully, you will get this thing resloved soon. Take care, Wanda

Hey Wanda, Next up after this round of lithotripsy is the metabolic panel and the 24 hour test.   I am really very good about my fluids to begin with, but I've stepped it up even more.    It's funny, but I got a notice in the mail from A A Urology that it's time for me to schedule my ANNUAL appointment with Dr Krejge for next April.  I thought that was hysterical.   You can get in to see the nurse practioner in no time ... but it takes 6 months to see the urologist .   When I saw him initially, he understood completely about my RNY and the possibility of stones and said that while we may not be able to prevent them, we will definitely 'manage' them.   To be honest, I would rather have the occasional pain from an attack than be 100 plus pounds more!!! Thanks for your concern. Hugs, Mo
