A Very Good Day

Hi All...Have not been around the boards too much lately.  Mostly because I have been working hard to run the last leg of the Baltmore Marathon Legg Mason Relay.   My part was 7.3 miles (the longest leg) and I got to finish at the finish line.Well...short and sweet.   I ran 7.3 miles in 1 hour, 3 minutes and 54 seconds.   That works out to pace of around 8:45 per mile. Now, if you had told me back in March (when I had my surgery), that I would be running 7miles, I would have laughed at you.   If you had told me it would be during the Baltimore Marathon, I would have thought you were nuts.   If you had told me I would run it at a pace that was less than 9 minutes per mile...I would have just left the room.Yes...it was a very good day!  :-)Hope yours was too!

Dave
Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Congratulations David!  That is amazing.  Keep up the good work.  I bet you will be running the full marathon in no time.

Good for you David! The reason I want to go through WLS is more to be able to perform healthy life style tasks such as this, I have put a goal of joining a cycling marathon (it doesn't matter how it is) for a year after my WLS. Good luck and thanks for giving us hopes of better future! Ellie
