Lets share, what is your favorite shake to make?  Sorry but the reason I am posting this is I hate shakes but would like to try again.  I am still on puree and need to get more protein.  Do you use a blend or no?  I do like, let me rephrase that tolerate muscle milk but that is not "homemade".

I like (tolerate) the Atkins shakes or slim-fast low carb shakes. Ice chips help if I'm home. I'll use a bullet protein once in awhile just to gulp it down for the protein. I think the protein is the hardest part of the 'aftercare'. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! ~~ Trish

It has taken me 3 months to find a protein shake that I can tolerate.  I body Body Fortress Whey Protein from Walmart.  It comes in Vanilla or Chocolate.  I blend 2 scoops of the Vanilla (46g) with 12 oz of Vanilla Soy Milk (12 g - Master Choice/Superfresh Brand), 1/3 of a frozen banana and 4 teaspoons of splenda.  Love it!!  I sometimes make it with pineapple or frozen strawberries.

I have used Atkins AAdvantage. I like the strawberry alot. I have also used AES. I mix yogurt with milk and protein powder.  It all has to be really cold or it can taste extremely nasty.

My favorite is called "Whey to Go" protein powder. I buy my online. However, the way I make it is high in fat. I use 2 scoops of pp , 1 cup of skim milk, 2 tbs peanut butter and about 4-5 ice cubes. I blend it and drink about 1/2 cup 3 times a day. I think it provides about 50g of protein per day. The peanut butter has about 12g fat....not good!

I love the atkin one for emergency  times when I don't have anytihng else around or have to hurry out the door in the morning. I also blend half a banana, lowfat milk and unjury unflavored (one scoop). As for hot ones, I have tried unjury in coffee with cream and Splenda or choclat unjury in coffee with a servinfg of (no sugar hot cocoa) and splenda.  Ellie

I agree with Trish, the bullets taste gross but I hold my nose (like my six year old eating pea's) cause it has 43g of protein.  Anyone hear of some lemonade liquid?

I am sure you have already tried Crytal Light lemonade, but I tried it the other day with frozen raspberry and crushed ice,it was sooooooooooo good, I have to admit I am a sour taste person though.  Hope that helps, Ellie

Hi There :~)  I just started using the Syntrax Roadside Lemonade Nectar. It has 27 grams per scoop. I make a batch 2 scoops + 16 ounces H2o, don't use cold water because it will clump up. That's why I let it chill in the fridge/freezer till It's nice and cold and ready to drink. It's a bit sweet but has a refreshing taste to it. I'm getting ready to order some of the other flavors, Strawberry Kiwi sounds good.  I found this website pre-op and called to see if they would send me some Freebies, Diet Direct 1-800-882-4830, I received about a dozen samples Just let them know your post-op looking to find a good protein shake or something along the lines of that. No sense buying a 2 lb container if ya don't like the stuff.  Also, my first order was from DD but I've since found other sites that are about 6 bucks cheaper so google before you place an order and get the cheapest price.  Best of Luck ~ Christina

Ellie I love sour taste, or I did before surgery,  I have not really had anything but lemons and limes but I guess they are sour as well. Hugs Kristen
