I get to start eating "real" food next week and I need some suggestions on what you all are eating?  I have heard that some eat lean cuisines, some eat sandwhiches so I am not sure what to do?

6 weeks post op, I was still a little nervous about eating most things, so I kept it kind of simple.  Boiled eggs, egg salad, boiled chicken, steamed shrimp, crab cakes and sliced turkey (teeny portions of course).  Some saving foods for me: small chili from Wendy's, Oscar Meyer small "Lunchables", Birdseye steam fresh veggies, Pollyo 2% mozarella string cheese, Jif 2 Go peanut butter cups.  Hope this helps.

I started out with tuna, cottage cheese, scrambled egg occasionally, and have moved up to very moist chicken, pot roast, pork roast.  I will do peanut butter a couple times a week, but not as frequently because it is so high fat.  And of course, Wendy's Chili is always good! :)

I look forward to that day, I hope it is next week.  I want something with a crunch, like Salad.  How are you feeling Mel and are you doing the walk? Hugs Kristen
