Hello, How is Everyone?

Hello, How is everyone?  Life's been kinda crazy for me lately.  Work has been super, super busy thanks to the new Govt. fiscal year and all the contract actions that need to be done.  My personal life has been in warp drive with everything going on.  I'm not complaining though!  Things with McSweetie are wonderful (as usual).  I'm so lucky!  McMom is recuperating from her final surgery really well.  McSis is all settled into her new house.   Eating is going okay, I've had my moments.  Although that being said, I haven't gained any weight.   My abdomen is still swollen from the lower body lift in May.  I've scheduled my upper body lift for November 5th.  Mr. Dr. is supposed to lip to tummy where the fluid is still collecting.  I'm very pleased with the results of the lower body lift, so I'm expecting to be pleased with the results of the upper body lift.  I'm kinda nervous, but I guess that's to be expected with any surgery.   I'm still good with supplements and protein and fluids too.  The area where I am failing miserably is exercise.  I want to get back to the gym at least 2 days a week (with doing cardio here at home at least 5 days a week), but I just haven't got the time yet.  McSweetie even suggested joining the gym so that we could go together - how sweet is that??!!!!.  He's a gem.  I love him so much!  Right now there is not time for going to the gym with all the extra work/time spent at work.  I'm hoping after I get the go-ahead to exercise after my surgery to get back to the gym.   I'm sorry I'm not on here posting and regularly as I used to.  They're doing screwy things with the network at work and some days I am not able to access the site at all.  To be honest, I've been so busy the past 2 weeks that I haven't really had the time to even check to see if I could get in there.   For those that have had surgery, I congratulate you on your WOW moments.  Keep up the great work and the WOW moments will keep coming - even after you've lost all your weight! For those that are contemplating surgery, or in the process of getting ready for surgery.  You are in my thoughts and prayers as you begin/continue on this awesome journey.  Just keep your eye on the prize, do your homework and do what you are asked to do and you'll be successful. Take Care!

Take Care,
Terry

Good morning Terry, It is so nice to hear that everything is taking shape for you. I think we all have that demon exercise hanging over our consciences. I really need to get out and get some more exercise.  I am on vacation this week. I started last Wednesday. I am feeling so relaxed and more energized already. I met with a group of women who are all over 50 (Over Fifty Forum) in Dallas for a long weekend. We had a glorious time together. There were 21 of us. We calculated the total weight loss for the group and it was 2700 lbs. WoW!!! I did get to tour where Kennedy was shot. That was quite a sombering experience. I am so glad I went. I tried to lasso a cowboy. But I was having so much fun with all these women, I forgot all about cowboys.  I'm home all week. I will be relaxing, going to doctor appointments, and just enoying life. I will also celebrate my birthday and rebirthday this week. I am 51 on the 10th and one year out on the 12th. Smooches and love to all,

  Aime

I haven't posted recently either but I'm here now and was happy to see your post.  I'm getting all my proteins, liquids and exercise lately.  As a matter of fact, I had an all-exercise holiday weekend in the Cumberland area that included hiking through Paw Paw Tunnel on the C&O Canal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paw_Paw_Tunnel).  The fun part was climbing back over the hill to get back to the parking lot.  The total walk was a little over 3 miles and it felt great to get my heart pumping going up the hill.  I know this is going to sound crazy but I weighed myself before and after the weekend and there was a difference of 6 lbs!!  I was completely shocked!  For all you readers out there, I would definitely recommend the tunnel and trail as a great way to burn some calories and get fresh air.  Please note, though, that the tunnel is very dark so take a flashlight with you!! I also had a wow moment this weekend but will post it separately. Be good!! --Eric
