An update from the walk committee: The Walk from Obesity is rapidly approaching on October 20th, 2007.  Drs Singh, Averbach, Roe, and Schweitzer are all signed up to walk!  Are you? We have added two features to the walk that we think you will be excited about. First, we will be presenting awards for the largest team, top fundraiser and walker who traveled the farthest to participate. The awards will be presented in a brief ceremony following the Walk. To-date, the largest team has 31 members, the top fundraiser has raised over $700 and we have a couple individuals participating from Virginia and Pennsylvania. Recruit your friends, family and coworkers to either join you or support you in your efforts and you could be a winner!

Additionally, the Baltimore Walk from Obesity will also feature a clothes donation. It is simple. Just bring any of the clothes you no longer fit into or need and place them in our clothes donation boxes at the event. Please be sure all items you donate are clean and in good condition. Also, feel free to check out the other items in the boxes and take what you need. Anything that is left over will be donated to Goodwill following the event.

There sure is!  There are also teams from JHH, Sinai, GBMC, and Dr Roe.  When you go towww.walkfromobesity.com, you will have the option to select a state, then select a city.  When you are on that page, you then can select a team, walk as an individual or create a team.  This is going to be such a fun event!!
