Good morning October 2 ...

Happy October I've been busy with work stuff and life the last couple of weeks and been MIA.   I am still busy, but thought I would take a few minutes this morning to catch up. I've not been so good with the gym the last few weeks ... I've had problems getting back into the swing of things after the whole kidney stone/stent/lithotripsy thing put me off schedule.   I've missed quite a few days, but I keep trying.   Last week I think I made 2 days, and I did get there this morning.   I feel soooooo much better all day when I exercise in the morning so I really need to make more of an effort.   I've not been doing any strength training, just hitting the treadmill with an incline of 10 and pushing about 3.0 mph.   I remember when 3 mph on a flat incline was a struggle ... so I've come a long way. We will be going away next week (leaving on Sunday and returning Monday the 15th).   I'm having lithotripsy on the other kidney on the 18th, but without a stent so hopefully that will not mess up the gym routine too much.    I'm hoping/planning to walk every morning while we are away.  I was pretty good with that in May.   Two laps around the outside perimeter of the campround gives me a reasonable workout. Work is still busy ... it's that time of  year .. and we are still down a body.   We are almost done interviewing and hope to make a selection this week.   It will still take a month to get some one in, with the paperwork and having to start them on the first day of a pay period, but I'm hopeful for Nov 1.    I've got another staffer going out on medical for a while so it's going to be really tense for a bit longer but eventually it HAS to get better!!!! I had better get with it here, need to set up the laptop and projector for a conference call/training session this morning and make sure everything else is happening the way it should. Have a wonderful Tuesday. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Mo,

Good to hear from you; glad that you seem to be doing better.  I'm sure the rest and relaxation of the campground will be helpful. It has been pretty busy lately.  I still haven't adjusted to my girls' school and extra-curricular activities yet.  Hopefully, by the end of this month, I'll be in the groove. Oh well, have a great October!! ~~  Trish

Hi Trish, My plan for next week is to sit outside on the patio ... relax and read ... though I'm sure there will be a few trips to Concord Mills to walk around, and to the race shops, even tho we have seen them all many times.    I'm going to try not to think about the office, though I know it's going to be stressful for my staff while I'm gone and we will be playing catchup for a while when I get back. Hugs, Mo

Good morning Moie - You're excused from not being here too much - we've all been busy, but I've been missing you.  Glad you liked Happy's pic that I sent to your phone - she's such a sweetie.  But a bad one - her new favorite game seems to be, "Drag me out from under the bed."  I looked under there last night with a flashlight, and evidently, she's found something shreddable, because it looks like it snowed!!!!  She's keeping us laughing with her antics, though, and dances around in a circle when I get home.  Again, I say to the Dating Gods, WHY can't I find a man willing to do that!!!!  BTW, there IS a guy I've been "chatting" with - guess what his name is?  Yep, Mark - no, he's not a mailman!! I have no doubt that you'll get back in the gym groove once the next procedure is done - you've had a lot going on mentally and physically. I'm a bit blonde, in case you hadn't noticed, so tell me again about your upcoming vacation.  NASCAR related??  Camping???  ICK!!! Okay, honey, have a great day, and give Lefty a pounce from Happy! Both NASCAR and camping related!!!   But Lefty gets to go with us, so he's a happy camper.   It's really hard to call it camping in an almost 40 luxury motorhome though .. with the widescreen HD TV and surround sound   Our October trip we usually just sort of relax and don't do a lot of running around.   We need to have some service things done to the RV, and even though they do not take appointments during race week, I sent an email week before last with the things that need to be taken care of and that we expected them to be done on Monday so that our vacation is not inconvenienced ... while the RV is in the shop it will mean that Lefty has to go in the Blazer with us ... he's getting to be one very spoiled fur-child. This 'Mark' might be the one ... I have to tell you all 3 of my sisters-in-law have married 'Steves'.   The oldest has married two Steves (Husband #1 and #2), the 2nd one's first was a Steve (the 2nd is Tom), and the 3rd one finally got married in her late 30's ... to a .. guess what .. STEVE !!!! I've got to go do the Detention Center deposit and settlement .. it's gonna be UGLY today .. but someone's gotta do it.   Nails & toesies after work .. so there's a treat for me.

Hugs & smoochies, Mo

Hi Mo, it is great to see your post,  I am sorry work has been very busy thus keeping you away from us for too long. I want to wish you a wonderful weekend camping in total bliss.  the last time we went camping it was the last time I went. It was not my idea of roughing it out.  The bathroom had thousands of Daddy long legs in there and I had to walk like 1;2 mile to it.  Nope never again!  LOL I told Gino whenever we go campping again it will be like you guys in a RV!  lol But I guess that will be never since we are still working on just purchasing our first home.  sighhh  Man oh man I think no one would even see me outside with a flat panel HD TV in the RV.  I would be chilling like a villian.  lol  Ok I need not to hang out with my kids that much.  ROFL.    I hope the lithotripsey goes great and hopefully it will not hinder you from trying to make it to the gym.   You are truly an inspiration girl.    Take care and pat Lefty for me.  Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hey Mo! I was wondering where you were. I think we have all been busy this fall. I know I have. But I am now on vacation!! No work for a week and a half. I am so excited. the last time I took off was for my surgery. I am flying out tomorrow morning to go and meet some women from the Over Fifty Forum in Dallas. I thought I might see if I could lasso myself a cowboy. I am only going for 4 days, but it is away from here.  I have also been visiting my mother. She decided not to move in with my sister. I am trying to get her to allow someone to come in and stay with her at night. She is just so set in her ways. Oh!! the best- I saw my grandson- yes grandson on Monday. He has all his fingers and is developing beautifully. We all went with Rhonda for her sonogram. It was fascinating to view. I could tell already how much he looks like my son. I think I might be a little excited about this now. Enjoy your trip. I hope the procedure goes well.  Hugs, Aime
