One word, LOBSTER!  Wow that was good, but it was not so pretty after putting it in the food processor.  What PROTEIN do you like?  Just looking for more protein ideas. Hugs Kristen

How does Portobella mushroom feel? Can you digest any mushroom? Or tofu? Is it possible to eat any tofu at this stage?

My nut told me if it has a face or comes from something that has a face I should eat it!!  When she said it like that, it almost turned me into a vegetarian!!! Anyway, I assume you are still on the pureed diet since you are using the food processor. Here is one of my favorites with lots of protein and it went down really easily. 16 oz of fat free sodium free chicken broth 3 cans of canned chicken well drained put it into a blender until the consistency of applesauce. It has over 75 grams of protein and the warmth was soothing to my tummy.

Hi Kristen,

Everything I read says its pretty hard to get the needed protein without some sort of supplement. I am in the middle of tasting a bunch of protein shake samples and I'll let you know my thoughts. Two favs right now are banana by IDS and Cappucino by Nectar. Both available from Vitalady.com. I think they each provide between 30 and 40 grams of protein with 8 oz of milk and less than 200 calories. I feel full for quite some time after drinking one.

Hey there, It's funny you should say you want salad - Nancy mentioned to me that was the thing she heard most often at her transition class was that everyone wanted salad.  I know I do. Also - I'm sure you know but she is having a large group of protein providers come to Sinai with samples. I'm pretty sure it's Oct 9. Continued healing - enjoy your time off.  You know I'm jealous. Shrimp crab and chicken is my all time favorite!  I have the magic bullet and I would put in there and chop it up.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
